GreenPlaza

"The two unique features of Queensplaza are its multilayered transportation network and the diversity of movement through the space. We open up the ground to connect the existing levels of movement with a tilted plane: elevated subway, street and the subterranean train. A wild forest of beeches, red oaks, fern and fluorescent mushrooms, planted at the level of the subway emphasizes the verticality of the transportation hub and marks the location. 'GFP-bunnies' - bio-engineered rabbits with Green Fluorescent Protein transfered to their genes (an artist's project by Eduardo Kac) live in this forest. After Central Park, La Vilette, Downsview, GreenPlaza will become the park, where art, nature and hypernature form ends of a differentiated environment oscillating in smooth transition. "
